Stay in LOVE!!

For most people, falling in love usually seems to just happen. It’s “Staying in love”- or preserving that “falling in love” experience that requires commitment and work. Given its rewards, though it is well worth the effort. A healthy, secure romantic relationship can serve as an ongoing source of support and happiness in your life, through good and bad, strengthening all aspects of your well being. Many couples focus on their relationship only when there are specific unavoidable problems to overcome…. Let’s  not wait to rekindle the joy of romance, the joy of togetherness for that period. Keep on opening those old albums, revisiting the places where you admired the setting sun for  the very first time. The beach were you felt like embracing each other  every time when the wave approached.

I read some where …”Marriage is not about marrying the right person, is about doing the right things with the person you married”. It is actually so right.

This post is not about, giving tips on marriage, but about a lovely incident that happened with me two days back. So,what happened is…

We were busy with last minute decorations and arrangements for the 31st night party at home. Meanwhile, I forgot to take the ribbon out, for a game that I planned. Now, the ribbon was in  carton kept on shelf in storage. I asked my husband to take it out and… he forgot.

The friends were about to come, and I wasn’t  ready. I got really mad for him not doimg his job, so got the step stool and took the carton out. I was blabbering on n onn…while my husband was busy dressing up my toddler.

Him :  I can’t hear anything… let me come…I will take it out..You go get ready!!

Me: Leave it (angrily) !! I am only one responsible for all the fun and party..So, no need to come.  I will do it by myself.

He was still in the other room busy with wasn’t being able to hear anything.

I got the ribbon and a pile of old cards…( we keep our loved ones card safe). There was no time, to rekindle the joy of reading cards. But, that one card…which I could not resist to open and read.

Our 9th Anniversary card.

What is so special about it?

So, generally, I prefer writing something for him for these special days. But, this time I liked a card and bought it. My husband who is generally, not so expressive about his love,( which I am absolutely ok with) also got a card  this year. I penned down my heartfelt in my card for him, and was waiting to give. Finally….it was the day, I presented my card with romantic song and flowers. He smiled and said, I have something for you too. The excitement with which he ran to get it…seemed something really special. He got back soon, and gave me card and a gift. And said…Open the envelope!!

And… It was the very same card…that I got for him too. We bought the same card for each other,  I was like whattt! Oh My God! This is special….Indeed special.

Him: As usual.. I did not write anything in the card..and after this coincidence… I don’t think anything is left to say……

I looked at him with my bright eyes, and nodded my head.

I was elated…,proud and was extremely happy… We hugged.

An embrace, which was balanced, filled with pure bliss of all those beautiful moments which we had lived together and also the shinning future which is smiling at us..

Just than!!

I was standing with ribbon and card and he came running to me and said..

Sorry! I was busy getting the kids ready…tell me what do you want me to do?

I smiled and said… ” I love you”.IMG_2054
